PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To produce an R-Fe-B based rare earth magnet having excellent oxidation resistance by performing dry pressing to a rare earth alloy powder having an oxygen content of ≤1, 500 mass ppm.
SOLUTION : The method for producing an R-Fe-B based magnet comprises : a stage where rare earth alloy powder having a rare earth content of 27.5 to 30.5 mass% and an oxygen content of ≤1, 500 mass ppm is subjected to compression molding by a dry pressing process so as to produce a molding; a stage where an oil agent is impregnated from the surface of the molding into the molding; and a stage where the molding is sintered.
