PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To manufacture a golf ball with excellent workability and to increase the resilience of the golf ball. SOLUTION : The golf ball comprises as a component element a crosslinked mold made of a rubber composition whose essential elements are : (A) a rubber base material consisting of (a) polybutadiene synthesized by using a catalyst of the VIII group and/or a rare earth element catalyst with at least 60 % by weight of cis-1, 4-bond, whose Mooney viscosity (ML1+4(100°C)) is from 50 to 120, and (b) a solid isoprene rubber with at least 60 % by weight of cis-1, 4-bond, whose Mooney viscosity (ML1+4(100°C)) is from 70 to 90, with the ratio of (a) to (b) by weight being 96/4-99/1, (B) unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or its metal salt, and (C) organic peroxide.
