FIELD : metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE : invention refers to metallurgy of rare metals, particularly to method of extracting gallium out of solutions. The method includes treatment of a gallium containing leaching solution with a sorbent. As a sorbent there are used dust and pulp, caught in the process of gas cleaning of exhaust gases from electrolysers at production of aluminium. Desorption of gallium from the sorbent is carried out by means of water.
EFFECT : reduction of costs at extraction of gallium, simplification of the process and utilisation of wastes.
