PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a catalyst carrier for modification which is sufficiently high in durable stability against exposing by sulfur on a catalyst carrier at a modification temperature, and sufficiently improves the stability of the passage of time of modification properties.
SOLUTION : The catalyst carrier for modification is provided with a base material and a covered film including the powder of a zirconia-titania solid solution and a matrix of at least a kind of a metal oxide selected from a group consisting of alumina, zirconia, iron oxides, rare earth element oxides, alkali metal oxides and alkali earth metal oxides and formed on the above base metal.
