PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a composite mixed conductor which can form an oxygen permeable membrane reduced in the deterioration with time.
SOLUTION : One favorable embodiment of the composite mixed conductor has an oxygen ion conductive phase including a compound oxide having a Ce-Re-O based component (Re here is Y or an rare earth element) and an electron-conductive phase including a perovskite type compound oxide having a Re-M-O based component (wherein Re is Y or an rare earth element and M is at least one kind of metal element selected from a group consisting of V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Co, Fe, Mn, Al, Ga and In).
