Disclosed is a rubber composition obtained by blending 10-70 parts by mass of a carbon black having a nitrogen absorption specific surface area of 20-100 m2/g per 100 parts by mass of a rubber component which is composed of 20-80 parts by mass of a modified polybutadiene rubber and 80-20 parts by mass of a natural rubber and/or at least one other diene synthetic rubber. The modified polybutadiene rubber is obtained by polymerizing 1, 3-butadiene in an organic solvent by using a catalyst containing a lanthanum series rare earth element-containing compound, and has a cis-1, 4 bond content of not less than 92%%, a vinyl bond content of not more than 1.5%% and a terminal modification rate of not less than 20%%. The rubber composition is excellent in low heat generating property and fracture resistance. Also disclosed is a tire which uses such a rubber composition in a side wall.© KIPO & WIPO 2009 |
