PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a catalytic converter which not only cleans a high flow rate of exhaust gas effectively but also has a high degree of freedom in layout. SOLUTION : This catalytic converter 103 is constituted so that a catalytic material containing LnAlO3(wherein Ln is a rare-earth element) and LnxPdOyis put in a container. Since the catalytic material has the performance that the cleaning efficiency is decreased slightly even if the space velocity of exhaust gas is increased, the catalytic converter 103 can be miniaturized.
