PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a flue-gas treatment method which prevents the loss of an oxidizing agent and the re-release of Hg(0) and stably maintains a high mercury removal rate for a long period of time even if a power generation load or the composition of a flue gas varies.
SOLUTION : In a flue-gas treatment method in which a sulfurous acid gas-containing flue gas contacts an absorption liquid to remove the sulfurous acid gas in the flue gas, peroxosulfuric acid is added to the absorption liquid.
