PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To realize a packaging material for a lithium battery and its manufacturing method capable of simplifying processes without giving an environmental load and having excellent electrolyte resistance, excellent hydrofluoric acid resistance, and an excellent waterproofing property.
SOLUTION : In the packaging material 10 for a lithium battery for sequentially laminating an adhesive layer 12, an aluminum foil layer 13, a coating layer 14, an adhesive resin layer 15, and a sealant layer 16 on one surface of a base material layer 11, the coating layer 14 contains a layer (A) 14a wherein 1 to 100 parts by mass of phosphoric acid or a phosphate are blended to 100 parts by mass of a rare earth element oxide.
