The present invention provides a solid formulation in tablets, which is intended for attracting crawling animals, mainly cockroaches, comprising the combination of : (a) from about 10% to 30% by weight of any type of maple lactose; (b) from about 46% to about 66% of an alkaline or alkaline-earth carbonate, and (c) from about 14% to about 34% of a hydrogenated alkaline or alkaline-earth carbonate, and (d) optionally traces of an organic or inorganic dye and an attractant food. Said composition in a tablet form is used along with an adhesive material or means in a device located in a trap, which besides being highly effective presents a low toxicity due to the ingredients thereof, thus being safe for the user the handle of said tablets, however, it is recommended that tablets are stored in a fresh and dry place without refrigeration, and hands washed before and after handling the inventive composition. |
