PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high-strength low-specific gravity steel sheet excellent in ductility, and to provide its production method.
SOLUTION : The high-strength low-specific gravity steel sheet excellent in ductility has a composition containing, by mass, 0.001 to 0.01% C, ≤3.0% Si, >3.0 to 30.0% Mn, ≤0.02% P, ≤0.01% S, 5.0 to 10.0% Al and 0.001 to 0.05% N, and, if required, containing one or more kinds of metals selected from 0.005 to 0.3% Ti, 0.005 to 0.3% Nb, 0.05 to 3.0% Cr, >5.0 to 15.0% Ni, 0.05 to 3.0% Mo, 0.1 to 3.0% Cu, 0.0003 to 0.01% B, 0.01 to 0.5% V, 0.001 to 0.01% Ca, 0.0005 to 0.01% Mg, 0.001 to 0.05% Zr and 0.001 to 0.05% rare earth metals, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and also has a specific gravity of <7.2, a tensile strength of ≥440 MPa and an elongation of ≥25%.
