PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To solve such problems that a user must look for cooking ingredients, processed food and the like in the dark as an electric light bulb is disposed at the depth of a back face and the light is not sufficiently applied to the cooking ingredients, when the cooking ingredients, the processed food and the like are put in a refrigerator compartment, and the quality of cooking ingredients is degraded in a refrigerator which must keep the cooking ingredients in cold, as electricity of the electric light bulb itself is changed to heat.
SOLUTION : An ultraviolet ray or blue-system light emitting means composed of a semiconductor is disposed on a shelf 4 in a refrigerating compartment 2 of the refrigerator 1, and the light emitting means is constituted by holding an intermediate plate composed of glass, plastic and the like by a plastic material including a rare-earth complex as a luminescence material.
