PURPOSE : A greening structure of dry area using a water battery layer and a construction method thereof are provided to supply plants with the water continuously and to prevent the erosion and collapse of sloped areas, thereby securing effective soil depth for plants.CONSTITUTION : A greening structure of dry area comprises a water battery layer(100) laying under the ground, a horizontal pipe(200) installed near the water battery layer to supply water to the water battery layer and a soil layer(400) positioned on the top of the water battery layer. A mixed fiber layer of sandy soil and radial fiber is located between the water battery layer and the soil layer. A cotton layer is located on the soli layer. A net is installed on the cotton layer along the surface of the earth. The water battery layer is made of porous expanded glass lightweight insulating materials. The expanded glass lightweight insulating material contains SiO2 with 0.1-0.2 of specific gravity and 10-50%% of water content. The greening structure of dry area includes a humidity measuring sensor(700), a temperature measuring sensor(710) and an automatic water supply unit(720).© KIPO 2009 |
