PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an earth-friendly grating enabling a reduction in weight while maintaining strength and capable of coping with an increase in the demand of steel members.
SOLUTION : This grating 5 is used as a cover for a road gutter U. Bearing bars 1 of rectangular shape in cross section are arranged parallel to each other in a standing state, the upper ends of the bearing bars 1 are so connected to each other through cross bars 2 by butt resistance welding that the cross bars 2 do not project from the upper end surfaces of the bearing bars 1 to form lattice windows W, and both ends of the bearing bars 1 are connected to each other through end bars 3. The material of at least the bearing bars 1 is a high-tension steel.
