PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a clarification method of ground water pwhich can clarify ground water inexpensively wuthout any possibility of causing a ground subsidence, and is effective for the ground water polluted with various harmful pollutants.
SOLUTION : In this clarification method of ground water for clarifying ground water W polluted with a harmful substance A, soil wherein a water channel 1 of the ground water W is located is excavated to form an excavated hole 3 crossing the water channel 1 of ground water W; a water-permeable clarification wall 4 having a rare earth compound as an adsorbent B adsorbing the harmful substance A, is constituted in the excavated hole 3; and the ground water W is purified by passing it through the clarification wall 4 having the rare earth compound. Otherwise, the soil wherein a water channel 1 of ground water W is located is excavated to form the excavated hole 3 crossing the water channel 1 of ground water W and a water collection part 6 communicating with the excavated hole 3; water shielding walls 7, 8 shielding ground water W and leading to the water collection part 6 are constructed in the excavated hole 3; the rare earth compound as an adsorbent B adsorbing the harmful substance A is disposed in the water collection part 6; and the ground water W is purified by passing it through the rare earth compound.
