PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an organic-inorganic compound semiconductor material with good electron injectability and electron transportability, an organic light emitting element, its manufacturing method, and a highly reliable light emitting device including the organic light emitting element; and to provide an electronic appliance.
SOLUTION : The organic light emitting element includes an anode, a cathode, and a hole transporting layer, an organic light emitting layer and an electron transporting layer which are laminated between the anode and the cathode in this order from the anode side. The organic-inorganic compound semiconductor material is constituted of a material as a main material which contains a compound expressed by a general formula (1) (where Ar1, Ar2 and Ar3 refer to aromatic ring groups), and at least one kind of a metallic ion of an alkaline metal ion, an alkaline earth metal ion, and a rare earth metal ion.
