PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare-earth magnet which can be well fixed by adhesives and moreover is difficult to separate between a magnet element assembly and a metal layer.
SOLUTION : The rare-earth magnet 1 comprises a magnet element assembly 2 containing a rare-earth element and a protection layer 4 formed on a surface of this magnet element assembly 2. The protection layer 4 is composed of a metal layer 14 formed so as to cover the surface of the magnet element assembly 2, a metal simple substance scattered on and adhered to a surface of the metal layer 14, and particulates 24 composed of a metal oxide or a metal hydroxide.
