PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnet member that can have improved magnetic characteristics regardless of miniaturization, and can have improved corrosion resistance and scratch resistance; and to provide a manufacturing method of the magnet member.
SOLUTION : The magnet member 2 comprises : a magnet element body 4, and a first coating layer 6. The first coating layer 6 covers the magnet element body 4 and contains Ni and Mo. The first coating layer 6 is preferably non-magnetic. Or the magnet element body 4 is preferably a rare-earth magnet.
