PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provided a manufacturing method of burned matter with reduced amount of hexavalent chromium, even using a raw material containing chromium.
SOLUTION : In this manufacturing method of burned matter, raw material containing one or more kinds selected from industrial refuse, general refuse and construction-derived earth is burned using a rotary kiln, burned matter is cooled in a rotary cooler by supplying combustible matter, then cooled below 400°C at a cooling rate of 40°C/min. or more. As a cooling method with the cooling rate of 40°C/min. or more, cooling by an air quenching cooler, cooling by dropping the burned matter into water, or cooling by sprinkling water over the burned matter is preferable.
