PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dielectric ceramic which is excellent in dielectric characteristics with a dielectric constant of ≥95 and is obtained by a solid phase method.
SOLUTION : The dielectric ceramic contains at least Ca, Ti, O and Re (rare-earth element) as constituent elements, is represented by a molar compositional ratio of CaO : (26-x), SrO : x, Re2O3 : 8 and TiO2 : y (wherein x and y satisfy relations : 0≤x≤26 and 40≤y≤60, respectively) and is obtained by compounding the respective powders of reaction raw materials at least comprising SrCO3, CaCO3, TiO2 and Re2O3 in a ratio giving the molar compositional ratio of the dielectric ceramic and subsequently sintering the reaction raw materials by a solid phase method.
