PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a cellulose acylate film which satisfies formula : |Rth|/Re≤0.5, wherein Re and Rth are retardation values in the inplane direction and the film thickness direction, respectively, and which is small in the curling caused by the humidity change of the retardation.
SOLUTION : The cellulose acylate film is heat-treated at a temperature of from 145°C to that lower than the melting point and thereafter is chilled at a rate of 100-1, 000, 000°C/minute to thereby give the product.
