PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To prevent decrease in ozone concentration when high purity oxygen with no addition of nitrogen is used as a source gas in a discharge type ozone generator.
SOLUTION : The ozone generator has a dielectric material 10 disposed in contact with at least one electrode 30 between a pair of electrodes 30 so as to form a discharge gap 20 for ozone generation, wherein a transition metal bronze is present on the surface of the dielectric material 10, the transition metal bronze comprising a transition metal oxide having a crystal structure of a perovskite structure in which no atom is present in the A-position and an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or rare earth metal is introduced into the A-position.
