PURPOSE : A laser forming apparatus from which a high power single mode forming laser beam is provided which can be easily obtained, and which realizes highly efficient, high power, and highly stable laser in a fully air-cooled manner.CONSTITUTION : A laser forming apparatus comprises : a seed laser oscillation unit(12) for oscillating and outputting a seed laser beam(SB); an amplifying optical fiber(10) including a core containing a predetermined rare-earth element, wherein the amplifying optical fiber introduces the seed laser beam into the core from the seed laser oscillation unit through one end thereof to propagate the seed laser beam to the other end of the amplifying optical fiber; a fiber core exciting unit(14) for exciting the core to amplify the seed laser beam in the core of the amplifying optical fiber; a laser emitting unit(16) for applying to a workpiece(W) a forming laser beam(MB) taken out from the other end of the amplifying optical fiber as the amplified seed laser beam; and a laser power measuring unit for measuring the laser power of the laser beam, wherein a laser power measurement value obtained from the laser power measuring unit is fed back to the seed laser oscillation unit to control the laser power of the seed laser beam.?
