PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To solve a problem which is necessary to generally prepare a plurality of light source apparatus when lights of different wavelengths are necessary, particularly in a visible light region.
SOLUTION : A light source apparatus is composed of a light source medium made up of at least an exciting light source, an optical coupler, and one piece of one kind of fiber added with rare earth element having two terminals excited by the exciting light source; and an output end formed of an optical fiber. The light source apparatus includes an optical component having at least one function of reflection, split or attenuation somewhere on an optical circuit between the light source medium and output end, and can output lights of a plurality of different wavelengths which are caused from different natural discharged light peak produced from the rare earth element ion added to the fiber added with the rare earth element, and at least one of obtained light is the visible light.
