PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth metal complex emitting monochromatic light derived from rare earth metal ion and having excellent solubility in organic solvents, heat-resistance, deposition characteristics, etc.
SOLUTION : The carboxylic acid-diketone conjugate rare earth metal complex is composed of a carboxylic acid ligand expressed by formula (1), a 1, 3-diketone compound ligand expressed by formula (2) and a trivalent rare earth metal. In the formulas, A is benzene ring or the like optionally substituted with Z; R1 and R2 are each independently hydrogen atom or the like; R3 and R4 are each independently a 1-10C alkyl or the like; and Z is a halogen atom or the like.
