PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an easily producible blue light emitting electroluminescent element.
SOLUTION : The inorganic electroluminescence element 1 consists of a pair of electrodes 3 and 8 and an inorganic electroluminescent crystallized luminescent film 6 provided between the pair of the electrodes 3 and 8. The inorganic electroluminescence crystallized luminescent film 6 contains a host material represented by the chemical formula : M2SiS4 : X (wherein M is an alkaline earth metal; and X is a rare earth metal) and a rare earth ion as a luminescent center added to the host material.
