PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To achieve a color temperature characteristic equivalent to a general image-projecting high-pressure discharge lamp while considering environment.
SOLUTION : In this high-pressure discharge lamp, electrodes 151, 152 are disposed inside a bulb 11 made of transparent quartz glass at a counter distance ≤3.0 mm. At least one kind of first halogen metal of A mg/mm3 selected from Sc, Dy, Nd, In and the other rare-earth metal, at least one kind of second halogen metal of B mg/mm3 selected from Zn, Mn, Fe, and Al, and a rare gas ≥2 atmospheric pressure are sealed inside the bulb 11, and drive is performed without essentially containing mercury, with input power ≥80 W, with a lamp voltage/an inter-electrode distance =10 V/mm or above. Sealing amounts per unit volume of the first halogen metal A and the second halogen metal B have relation of 0.5
