PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for recovering rare gases efficiently and inexpensively from a mixed gas containing the rare gases and other gases.
SOLUTION : This method for recovering the rare gases is provided by bringing the mixed gas in contact with a metal complex having a 3-dimensional structure constituted by (A) a ligand having a metal ion represented by copper (II) ion and ≥2 atoms selected from a group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur, and represented by pyrazine-2, 3-dicarboxylic acid, and (B) a ligand having ≥2 coordinating atoms to the above metal ion and also having at least 1 heterocyclic skeleton, represented by 3, 6-bis(4-pyridyl)-1, 2, 4, 5-tetrazine to make the rare gases to be selectively adsorbed by the metal complex to enable the recovery of the gases.
