PURPOSE : A self-extinguishing thermal curing silicone rubber composition and a silicone rubber obtained by curing the composition are provided, to improve the tensile strength, the tear strength and the self-extinguishing property. CONSTITUTION : The silicone rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a silicone crude rubber; 10-100 parts by weight of a silica filler having a specific surface area of 100-300 m2/g and an average particle size of 7-16 nm; 0.001-1 parts by weight of a platinum compound (platinum is diluted in an organic material by the amount of 5 % or less); 0.001-1 parts by weight of an azo compound; 0.001-3 parts by weight of a rare earth metal compound (cerium is diluted in an organic material by the amount of 5 % or less); 1-40 parts by weight of iron oxide (FeO, Fe2O3, Fe3O4); 1-20 parts by weight of titanium oxide; 1-40 parts by weight of calcium carbonate; 1-40 parts by weight of aluminum hydroxide; 1-60 parts by weight of an extender (diatomite or quartz powder having a particle size of 100 micrometers or less); 0.1-5 parts by weight of a processing aid; 0.01-1 parts by weight of an internal releasing agent; and 0.5-3 parts by weight of an organic peroxide. |
