PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a powder filling device of a constant quantity filling system adopting a shutter structure in which the operational stroke of each shutter is suppressed to the minimum, and whose enlargement is avoided, and to provide a powder filling method.
SOLUTION : In the powder filling device, a constant quantity of powder for compacting is filled into a plurality of cavities 3A, 3B. A feeder box 4 is provided with a plurality of cup parts 41, 42 having opening parts 41a, 42a at the bottom faces corresponding to the respective cavities 3A, 3B, and further, each shutter opening and closing the opening of at least one cup part is installed so as to be independently operable. For example, the shutters 43, 44 are installed in the cup parts 41, 42, respectively, and they are operated to opposite directions in the arraying directions of the cavities 3A, 3B each other. Alternatively, the shutter 43 is installed in the one cup part 41, and a bottom face plate 51 having an opening part 51a is fixed to the other cup part 42, and only the shutter 43 is opened and closed.
