PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide boride particles, wherein the dispersing time for carrying out dispersion processing can be shortened by charging a slurry obtained by mixing the boride particles and various kinds of solvents, into a medium agitation mill together with beads when a dispersion of boride fine particles for forming a solar radiation shielding material is produced, and to provide a method for producing the same, the dispersion of the boride fine particles using the boride particles, and the solar radiation shielding material.
SOLUTION : When the boride particles are expressed by general formula : XBm (wherein, X is a metal element selected from alkaline earth elements or rare earth elements including yttrium (Y); and 4≤m≤6.3), at least one kind of metal element selected from Zn, In, Sn, Ga, Ge, Cd, Tl, Pb, and Bi is incorporated into each boride particle. Thereby, the boride particles are made brittle, and the dispersing time for carrying out dispersion treatment can be shortened.
