PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an La- and Co-containing M ferrite produced by a low-cost dry molding process and having improved magnetic properties.
SOLUTION : The method for producing the ferrite magnetic material comprises heating a raw material composition containing all or part of a raw material powder of a hexagonal M ferrite mainly consisting of Fe, an element A, an element R, and an element M (wherein the element A is at least one member selected from among Sr, Ba, and Pb; the element R is at least one member selected from among rare earth elements and Bi and necessarily includes La; and the element M is at least one member selected from among Co, Mn, Mg, Ni, Cu, and Zn and necessarily includes Co) and having a constitutional ratio among the entire metallic elements represented by the compositional formula : A1-xRx(Fe12-yMy)z (wherein 0
