PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a rubber composition having low heat generation and excellent destruction resistance and a tire using the same in a side wall.
SOLUTION : The rubber composition is obtained by mixing 100 pts.mass of a rubber component composed of 20-80 pts.mass of modified polybutadiene rubber obtained by using a catalyst comprising a lanthanum series rare earth element metal and polymerizing 1.3-butadiene in an organic solvent and having ≥92% cis-1, 4 bond content, ≤1.5% vinyl bond content and ≥20% terminal modification ratio and 80-20 pts.mass of natural rubber and/or at least one kind of another diene-based synthetic rubber with 10-70 pts.mass carbon black having 20-100 m2/g nitrogen adsorption specific surface area. The tire is obtained by using the rubber composition in a side wall.
