At the joint of a double clad fiber added with a rare earth element and a single mode fiber, there has been troubles of pumping light leakage from a portion having a coating and partial fiber heating and deterioration with that energy. Furthermore, output is limited as the oscillation wavelength is shortened. In a laser light source device combining a fiber laser and a fiber amplifier, pumping light of the fiber amplifier is employed as the remaining pumping light of the fiber laser in order to prevent deterioration due to the remaining pumping light, thus enhancing reliability. Furthermore, oscillation light output is increased by amplifying the output through a post-stage fiber amplifier without limiting the pumping light output. |
