PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a portable weeder having decreased resistance in the earth to enable efficient weeding work and capable of eradicating a weed having a root deeper than the length of a protrusion protruding from a rotary disk.
SOLUTION : A plurality of protrusions 8 are formed on the lower face of a rotary disk 4 of a portable weeder 1, and the outer circumference of the front side of the rotary disk 4 is surrounded by a frame 10. The protrusion 8 is composed of a rod 8a bent in the form of a nail and a nail-formed plate 8b having an outer circumference separated from the inside of the bent rod 8a. The rotary disk 4 is attached to an output shaft 7 with an exchangeable fixing cap 13 having different setting stages. The fixing cap 13 prevents the entering of the rotary disk 4 into the earth, and the frame 10 prevents the intrusion of the rotary disk 4 into crops. When the rotating rotary disk 4 is pressed against the weed-growing ground surface, the ground is shallowly tilled with the protrusions 8 and the root of the weed is hooked and thrown outward with the rod 8a.
