PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high performance permanent magnet type motor with high reliability improved in reliability under the exposure of a rare earth bond magnet to high temperature and under high moisture. SOLUTION : The reliability of a high performance permanent magnet type motor can be sharply improved by converting the configuration of rare earth magnet powder of the bond magnet from a flake shape to a spherical shape or a shape nearly resembling the former shape with melt spinning, hot curing a green sheet obtained by compression molding the powdered compound, and applying a heat treatment peculiar to the rare earth bond magnet from a sheet to a film obtained by rolling and/or stamping the resulting sheet magnet.
