PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a reinforcing structure which is proof against flowage (scouring) of an earth material.
SOLUTION : The reinforcing structure 1 has an earth material layer 10 which is formed of a permeation-resistant earth material and laid on the ground surface 300A of a flood channel 300 on a river front side of a dam 100, and a plurality of water shielding sheets 20 for preventing the earth material of the earth material layer 10 from flowing by a stream current, and having at least lower ends thereof embedded in the earth material layer 10. Herein the water shielding sheets 20 are embedded so as to partition the earth material layer 10 as viewed in plan.
