简介 PURPOSE : A multiple wavelength laser light source using a fluorescent fiber is provided to obtain required blue light from light emitted from the fluorescent fiber. CONSTITUTION : A multiple wavelength laser light source using a fluorescent fiber includes a blue semiconductor laser device(2), and a fluorescent fiber(17). The blue semiconductor laser device(2) emits excitation light(a). The fluorescent fiber(17) has a first side fiber end surface and a second side fiber surface. The excitation light(a) emitted from the blue semiconductor laser device(2) is incident upon the first side fiber end surface, and is emitted through the second side fiber surface. The fluorescent fiber(17) has a color selecting mirror part forming a laser resonator(3) in the first and second side fiber end surfaces. A core of the fluorescent fiber(17) is made of a wavelength-converting unit including a low phonon glass containing at least a praseodymium ion as a trivalent rare-earth ion emitting wavelength conversion light by being excited by the excitation light(a). © KIPO 2007
