PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a welding method using a steel welding wire that enables a superior bead shape to be obtained as well as stability of arc and reduction of spattering, in performing gas-shielded arc welding.
SOLUTION : In this method, a pulse for which a DC current is set at two levels of a peak current and a base current is outputted from a welding power source. The peak current is set in the range of 250-380A, while an F value determined by F=[I-(E/2)]/H is set in the range of 1.0-2.0. Also, using a welding steel wire composed of a steel wire containing 0.015-0.100 mass% rare earth elements, the gas-shielded arc welding is performed with straight polarities.
