PURPOSE : Provided is a coating agent for preventing a so-called sick house syndrome, which shows excellent adhesion by virtue of the viscosity of phytoncide solution and adhesion of a rare earth metal chloride, removes harmful substances by far infrared rays emitted from the same, and maintains harmful material removing function stably.CONSTITUTION : The coating agent for preventing a sick house syndrome by being applied onto a wall surface comprises : 3-10 wt%% of lanthanum chloride; 7-20 wt%% of cerium chloride; 1-3 wt%% of a phytoncide solution; and 69-87 wt%% of distilled water. The coating agent is obtained by the method comprising : a step(S10) of providing a phytoncide solution; a step(S30) of forming a rare earth metal mixture by reacting lanthanum oxide and cerium oxide with NaOH; a step(S40) of reacting the rare earth metal mixture with HCl to provide a rare earth metal chloride; and a step(S50) of mixing the rare earth metal chloride with the phytoncide solution and distilled water.?
