PURPOSE : A process of preparing a sealed battery allowing leakage inspection of an electrolyte, in particular a lithium-ion battery capable of performing correctly and effectively leakage inspection at a high sensitivity is provided. Therefore, the sealed battery is measured uniformly and certainly in a possible part of leakage, thereby to improve the reliability of the battery which becomes marketable. CONSTITUTION : After a sealed battery can(1) is exhausted except for an electrolyte pouring hole(3), an electrolyte(13) poured from the electrolyte pouring hole is pressurized by gas containing rare gas of a pressure equal to or more than the atmospheric pressure, and after pouring the electrolyte and injecting the gas containing rare gas, the electrolyte pouring hole is sealed. In the process, the rare gas is helium and a compression means for preventing deformation of the sealed battery can is installed when supplying the rare gas-containing gas. |
