PURPOSE : A light source device and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) are provided to easily perform the attachment and the replacement of a light source lamp, by coupling feeder fins with a feeder socket while one end of the light source lamp is supported by a lamp insertion hole of a support substrate through insertion of the light source lamp into the lamp insertion hole.CONSTITUTION : A light source lamp(20) is composed of a rare gas discharging lamp. The rare gas discharging lamp includes a light emitting tube(21) in which rare gas is sealed, a fluorescent layer formed on an inner surface of the light emitting tube, a pair of external electrodes extended from an outer surface of the light emitting tube in a direction of tube axis, and a pair of feeder pins(24) respectively conducted to the external electrodes. A lamp holder(27) is mounted on one end of the light source lamp. The feeder pins are fixed by the lamp holder such that the feeder pins protrude toward the other end of the light source lamp in parallel with the light source lamp. A feeder socket(31) has the feeder pins installed on a support substrate of an insulating material. The light source lamp is inserted into a lamp insertion hole(32) of the support substrate. The light source lamp is coupled with the feeder socket while one end of the light source lamp is supported by the lamp insertion hole.? KIPO 2007 |
