简介 PURPOSE : A B2O3-Bi2O3 based glass for coating electrode formed on substrate of a plasma display panel is provided to cover the electrode on a glass substrate of the panel and to form a glass layer with improved linear light transmission(T). CONSTITUTION : The electrode coating glass is free from PbO but principally comprises : 25 to 60mol.%% of B2O3; 0 to 18mol.%% of SiO2; 0 to 60mol.%% of ZnO; 0 to 18mol.%% of BaO; 3 to 15mol.%% of Bi2O3; and 0 to 10mol.%% of Al2O3. The glass contains CeO2 or MnO2. Alternatively, the glass includes at least one alkali-earth metal selected from MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO as well as CeO2 and MnO2 and total amount of MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO ranges from 7 to 18mol.5%%. Content of CeO2 ranges from 0.05 to 0.2mol.%% while content of MnO2 ranges from 0.05 to 0.2mol.%%. The glass neither contains Li2O, Na2O nor K2O. © KIPO 2007
