PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an optical fiber cable excellent in smoothness of the coating layer surface and in color developing property of the coating layer without deteriorating transmission characteristics in high temperature and high humidity environment, and to provide an optical fiber cable with a plug. SOLUTION : In the plastic optical fiber cable 10, at least one layer of a primary coating layer 4 and a secondary coating layer 5 of the plastic optical fiber 3 is a coating layer prepared by mixing 0.01 to 10 parts by mass of a rare metal-based inorganic pigment in 100 parts by mass of a polyamide resin. The rare metal in the rare metal-based inorganic pigment is specified to at least either cerium or lanthanum. The polyamide resin comprises at least one kind of polyamide 11, polyamide 12, polyamide 6/12, polyamide 66 and polyamide 6/66. The optical fiber cable with a plug has a plug attached to at least one end of the plastic optical fiber cable 10. COPYRIGHT : (C)2003, JPO |
