Disclosed is a fiber laser which outputs a single polarized light by controlling polarization with a simple structure. Also disclosed is an optical device. Specifically disclosed is a fiber laser comprising a solid laser fiber (3) doped with a rare earth element, a pump light source (1) for exciting the solid laser fiber, a reflection element (2) having wavelength dependency, and a wavelength conversion element (4) arranged on the output side of the solid laser fiber away from the reflection element at a certain distance along the solid laser fiber. This fiber laser is characterized in that an end face of the wavelength conversion element (4) is inclined to the optical axis. |
