PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To prevent weld cracks such as ductility degradation cracks and weld metal solidification cracks caused by the deviation of an amount of addition from an adequate range by the change of the La amount for each layer by the mixture of a material forming a substrate with a filler metal when performing a multi-layer welding method for preventing any weld crack by adding a rare earth element such as La to the filler metal. SOLUTION : In the multi-layer welding method for performing the multi-layer welding by using a filler metal with a rare earth element La added thereto, when performing the welding of layers 16, 17, 18, the addition of the rare earth element in the filler metal in the layers 16, 17, 18 is kept in an adequate range by using filler metals 11, 12 having different amount of addition of the rare earth element for each layer.
