PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a trap whose capturing wire loop is contracted to grasp a leg of a wild boar or deer of capture target, only when a footboard is stepped with the leg, thereby capable of accurately capturing only the beast of capture target such as the wild boar or deer, and to provide the trap whose footboard can smoothly be dropped to capture the beast of capture target without causing the bite of earth, sand, small branches, and the like from spaces between a pitfall cylinder and the footboard, even when it rains after the setting of the trap, and without biting the earth, the sand, the small branches, and the like, when the footboard is stepped by the beast of capture target.
SOLUTION : The trap for capturing the beast comprises a cylindrical main body 10 whose upper end is covered with an operation cap 11 and which is vertically buried in the ground, a footboard 12, a capture wire 13 which is outward extended from the cylindrical main body 10 through the operation cap 11 and forms a contradable loop 14 on the footboard 12, a coil spring 15 for contracting the loop 14 of the capture wire, and a holding-releasing device 16 for the operation cap 11 against the restoring force of the coil spring 15 in a state covered on the cylindrical main body 10 and releasing the holding of the operation cap 11 in interlock with the stepping-down of the footboard 12.
