PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a polylactic acid resin composition that is excellent in thermal stability, mechanical strengths and hues and can be preserved for long terms.
SOLUTION : The composition comprises a polylactic acid, a metal polymerization catalyst, a phosphoric acid-based deactivator and a phenolic antioxidant. As the metal polymerization catalyst, a metal compound selected from the group consisting of alkaline earth metals, rare earth metals, transition metals of the third period, aluminum, germanium and antimony is preferably used. As the phosphoric acid-based deactivator, a compound selected from the group consisting of phosphoric acid, phosphorous acid, hypophosphorous acid, pyrophosphoric acid, polyphosphoric acid, and alkyl esters and aryl esters thereof is preferably used.
