PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a fluorescent lamp with stable luminous efficiency using red, blue, and green phosphors different in specific gravity.
SOLUTION : The flat shape fluorescent lamp has mercury and one kind or more of rare gas filled in a flat glass tube 3, a pair of discharge electrodes 1 installed through a sealing wire 4 at the inside of both ends, and a phosphor film 2 coated on the inner wall of the glass tube 3. As the phosphor film 2, a three wavelength phosphor is used in which the ratio of the magnitude of the average particle size Df of primary particles and the average particle size Dm of the secondary particles formed of the coagulation of the red phosphor is Df : Dm=1 : 1.0-1.2, the ratio of those of the green phosphor is Df : Dm=1 : 1.4-2.0, and the ratio of those of the blue phosphor is Df : Dm=1 : 1.0-1.7.
