PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a separation method which enables the positive separation of a mixture of earth and sand from granules having different specific gravity.
SOLUTION : A mixture 6 of earth and sand with granules of coal ash is put into the center recess 2 of a separating vessel 1 together with water 7. The separating vessel 1 is oscillated. The granules of coal ash having smaller specific gravity than the earth and sand are separated from the mixture 6 and dispersed into the water 7, then the earth and sand are settled. The separating vessel 1 is inclined to make the granules of coal ash dispersed in the water 7 get over a separation wall 3 together with water 7, and they are put into a reception part 8.
